attending weddings as a single lady generally gives one a bittersweet feeling. i can’t tell whether that comes from societal pressure, or whether the desire for marriage and companionship is something tied so closely to one’s innate biological-psychological-emotional needs that they gave rise to societal expectations.
do single men have these bittersweet feelings too? if so, are men just better at ignoring them? not feel the need to talk about singlehood the way single girls lament it?
nevertheless, two fashionista girlfriends got married this year, one in June, another last night. you know, they look lovely on normal days, and absolutely stunning in their wedding gowns.
congratulations, darlings. can’t wait for the stories (both the good and bad!) about marriage. God be with you every step of the journey in this new life together!
